On September 5th, 2009, Scotty Monteiro Jr., was an innocent victim of a gun violence and tragically lost his life at just 21 years old. Scotty was a Wareham High School graduate who left behind a large family and countless friends. His family and friends have established the Scotty Monteiro Jr. Foundation in his honor.

Mission

This is a non-profit organization that develops and maintains charitable programs centered on stopping violence through education, awareness and alternatives. The goal of the foundation is to provide, with the power of positivity, the confidence to succeec in our youth. The Scotty Monteiro Jr. Foundation will enrich our youth in the town of Wareham and its surrounding communities in Southeastern Massachusetts with positive possibilities. We believe that the community as a whole must adopt an active role in providing for the welfare of its children in efforts to secure a brighter, peaceful future for all residents. With this in mind the Scotty Monteiro Jr. Foundation has established and integrated several fund raising activities aimed at providing resources for your community.
